Rather than be cooped up in a more militaristic surrounding in the main Iscariot hold, Yumiko chooses to lay her head here, in a cozy little room sparsely decorated with the occasional stuffed animal on the bedsheets. Everything is plain, from the walls to the framed pressed flowers hanging on a lonely nail near the window, where they'll catch light from between the tattered curtains Yumiko took the liberty of patching up herself with bits of Heinkel's older clothes; she never could be trusted to fix those holes herself. Her desk is neatly kept, Bibles and handy manuals like "Gardening for Beginners: let's grow things!" and "Stitch N'Bitch" in one of the three languages Yumiko knows are worn out and carefully arranged [in alphabetical order, she was quite picky] on a bookshelf towards the small closet on the eastern side of the room. It's here, in this sunny room always left unlocked [except the closet, which is always kept under lock and key, where she keeps some...curtain rod, maybe? It's always wrapped up, and she never seems happy to take it out.] that Yumiko spends her off-hours--knitting mittens and hats and socks for the children and Father Anderson, reading, organizing her rosary collection..and keeping a dark, dark part of her locked away from the rest of the world.
