| Ah, the British! How they wallow! Midnight. In the foreground, a whitewashed stone manor, windows flickering a dull amber due to the 'traditional' candlelight dinner occuring within. Again, the silhouette looking upon the scene wondered how English logic worked - this, in Leto's rather forward-thinking mind, was a waste of good candles. Also, why at midnight? Shouldn't they be, for instance, cowering in fear of Millenium's inevitable descent unto their country and beloved homes? Sigh, The figure shook his head and brushed back his raven-black hair, strolling out from the shadows of the oddly-placed family mausoleum and approaching the big wooden doors at a casual pace. The inhabitants' blood was his, and no one would take it from him. No heed was paid to the crunching of his boots upon the brittle grass - the English always managed to explain bumps in the night without even checking. In this case, the thing going bump in the night really was out to kill them. |

| 'Well, well, well. Little fangy-guy is hungry, isn't he?'
Without the slightest noise, a tall woman in a long, black victorian coat with lace and ruffles and white skin that seemed almost to reflect the pale moonlight came up to Leto, her arms crossed infront of her chest as she continued speaking with an arrogant, impish grin.
'What do you intend to do? Entering the house, slaughtering the occupiers and leave their bloodless bodies rotting in the manor? How pathetic!'
A light gleam brightened Carmina's infernal red eyes for a split second. 'I had soooo~ much more gallant ideas what to do with those... creatures - and a new formula I really want to try out. However...I think I would have to renounce Chianti. But well, I guess I will take that calmly, so here we go.'
She walked straigth towards the door, stopping when she stood right between the entrance and Leto, winking provokingly.
'Wanna bar me from that~?'

| He stopped in his tracks and looked over his shoulder with a hint of defeat in his eyes - It was going to be one of those days, wasn't it? Still, he stood his ground and turned calmly towards the woman, offering a pleasant smile in a vague attempt to avoid conflict. Ah-...What were you planning to do? Eat them? Leto coughed and looked down for a moment, noticing the odd prosthetic leg that she was wearing. The idea of eating a corpse used to disgust him - it still did, to some degree, but he couldn't help finding it a somewhat...delicious idea. Anyway...um...what's your name? You haven't attacked me yet, so I assume we're on the same side..? He said this hopefully. |

| 'We have got the same boss indeed' the dark haired Romanian replied. 'But I'm not that kind of person that matters such minor things like 'loyalty', you know...? In fact...people in general don't matter me.' She took a slight bow.
'But well, manners are important and I detest gaucheness, so let me introduce myself: my name is Carmina Hancock. It's a pleasure to meet you, mister...'
The woman stopped for a moment, seeming as if she had to think hard about something. But then she smiled. 'Mister Leto.'
'How I LOVE this mindreading stuff!' |

| Leto winced instantly at her immediate knowledge of his name, offering his hand lightly in what he believed to be a polite manner. Great, of course the strange sexy woman would have mind-reading abiliti- Shit! Keep quiet, stupid brain. And now, he was wearing an uneasy grin on his face, coughing awkwardly and scratching his head, trying to pretend the last few moments didn't happen. It's nice to meet you too, Carmina~ Leto adopted his 'charming voice' for this, trying to seem equal to this girl without showing any weaknesses. It's a lovely night, don't you think~? This is harder than I thought... Well, the fools inside this mansion don't matter to me, which is the reason I'm here. |

| 'And you, my dear, don't matter me - and you're more amusing and even easier to get than those people in this bloody manor. And....I guess no one would notice that you're gone~'
While speaking with a gently voice, Carmina slowly pulled a long, black leather whip out of its hidden holder under her coat.
'You're not the brightest bean in the bowl, aren't you?'
Winking she scourged the air, her glance staring at Leto with crimson eyes the whole time. 'So I guess you wouldn't mind if I would take your...hypothalamus, would you...?'
Suddenly the woman walked towards the vampire in an almost celebrating way - and started singing with a devilish voice.
'Brains, Brains - it's ok! It's not a matter if it isn't grey! Sure he might think it's deranged - but he won't think twice if he don't has a Brain!'
Then she moved unexpected quickly, so fast that a human eye wouldn't have been able to follow her movements - and her whip aimed at Leto's neck to wind round it while her artificial leg tried to kick his stomach with a power you wouldn't have thought a slender girl like that could own.

| And now Leto was completely on his guard; no one spoke to him to sweetly without wanting to murder him. ...Ah?...Hypo-? He gasped, eyes glinting crimson as he rolled to the left - out of both attack ranges. Patting some dust from his outfit, Leto groaned and got to his feet. Oh, goody, he said. Voltaire, right? The boy sighed and lightly stretches, resigning to the fact that it would be one of those days again. Alright~ I'm betting your blood wouldn't taste too bad either, Miss Hancock~ Saying that, he gently put one foot before the other and prepared for a fight. Are you absolutely sure that you wouldn't rather feast on, say, their flesh? he added, gesturing towards the mansion door. |

| With a cheeky smirk on her red lips Carmina replied: ‘Indeed, Voltaire~. I admire the quite intelligent way this man combines beautiful ornate scores and rhythms with sharp-tongued, clever lyrics and his certain dark sense of humor budge an inch to my own one pretty well! -and you nice avoided the blow, fangy-boy! Congratulations!’
Winking the Romanian walked slowly towards her opponent, calmly, and not the slightest bit unstrung. In fact not even the glance of her eyes gave any proof of her intensions and if you wouldn’t have seen her attacking like Leto did one moment ago you wouldn’t have believed that this elegant young Lady should be a capable of killing.
‘However, if you want to taste my blood I guess I should make you aware of the matter of fact, that it’s sadly contaminated by a lot of drugs and other chemical substances. But don’t think I am a drug abuser. No! I am just an ancient guinea pig – and how you can imagine neither very tasty nor healthy in any way. But to get again back to my own planned dinner fot tonight…Well, my dear Sire, I guess I just have to admit…’
Carmina’s eyes flashed for a short moment, like the ones of a wild predator, lurking for its prey while she licked her lips delightfully - a terrifying change from a well mannered lady to an infernal creature.
‘Du riechst so guuu~t!!!’ (Rammstein, meaning: ‚You smell so well‘)
Suddenly she moved again with this incredible speed and jumped at the vampire to drag him to the ground, her pearl white teeth bared, ready pierce into the man's soft facial flesh, and even if it was clearly the ivories of a human her jaw was a lot stronger than you would expect from an averaged woman.

| The mildly-startled boy continued to take steps back from the terrifying, yet strangely alluring, woman. He paid little attention to her words but instead watched for any tells - any tensing-up of the body that would undoubtedly be followed by a lethal strike.
Oh, and Leto was very reluctant to hurt a girl, of course. Still, if it couldn't be helped...
He winced and fell backwards from the lunge, bringing his knees up to his chest and pushing out with his legs, trying to throw the assailant back through the air and away from him. At the same time, he admired her bloodlust; she wasn't a vampire - for sure - but seemed to be...delightfully sadistic. But then, this thought was probably just his own adrenaline working too well.
I'm sure that a few drops couldn't hurt me too much~ he threw back, still attempting to remain calm despite the circumstances. |

| Carmina raised a brow sceptically.
‘Says a guy like you who tries to avoid a fight like a bloody fraidy cat?! Even if you’d really intended to taste my blood you wouldn’t even have the slightest chance to come close enough to me do satisfy your hunger, boy.’
Sighing annoyed she added: ‘I’m weary of this idiotic little game.’
Slowly and thoughtfully the woman took her sword out of its hidden sheath, clasping the dark hilt firmly with both hands.
‘Will you fight back now or shall I come and just cut your head from your shoulders and end this terrible waste of time?! Your choice!’
Obviously the brown haired woman hated it to dwell on gratuitous protracted situations. Her glance almost sparks because of rage and infernality. There was no doubt that she knew what she did – and what she wanted as well. She was hungry and got the needle because of Leto who neither seemed willingly to amuse her with a little fight nor capitulated to consummate this useless conversation. Cannibal couldn’t help it but exactly this absolute futility was why humankind –and everything similar to it like vampires and werewolves- disgusted her.

| Well, this certainly wasn't a good start. It surprised Leto himself how much he wanted it to be a good start, though. Just trying to be a gentleman, he muttered vaguely. Making up his mind, Leto reared his head, bore his fangs and lunged at the beautiful (but oh so insane) stranger. His blade was held in a reverse-grip, and positioned so that it would slice deeply into her side as he passed; if her eye was sharp, she would be able to see that he aimed only for a run-by, but Leto was running very, very fast. Alright, read this: Before the day is out, I'll sup upon your blood no matter what it's taste - perhaps now, you can be entertained~ |
